Club Special Events

Community Living Renfrew County South asked me if I could do an RC airplane demonstration for them. So on May 23 at 10:00, we went by convoy to the ARCC field in Galleta for a perfect flying day. There were about 15 people there including staff, and they had a great time. I talked to them about modelling in general while I was assembling my Sig 1/5 scale Cub. I showed them take offs, landings, and some loops and rolls. After the demo, I let anyone who wanted to, to fly the Cub, and the smiles were incredilble. No one including the staff had ever seen RC flying. One of the staff said she would bring her kids back to see this on the weekend.

We all had lunch at the field after the flying was done. They are planning on doing this again for those who are interested and for those who couldn't come that day.
